GroListt (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides this Privacy Policy to explain how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the GroListt mobile application. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

• Account Data: Name, email address, and language preferences.
• User Content: Household names, grocery list items, notes, prices, and invitation codes.
• Device & Usage Data: Device model, OS version, and anonymous app performance data.

Note: GroListt does not collect precise GPS location data or access your contact list without explicit permission.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Provide real-time synchronization between household members.
• Manage access via our secure authentication system.
• Generate AI-powered categorizations and recipe suggestions.
• Monitor app stability and fix crashes.

3. AI & Automated Features

GroListt uses artificial intelligence to assist with categorization and recipes.

• Data Processing: When you use AI features, relevant text data (e.g., list items) is sent to our AI providers for processing.
• Privacy Guard: This data is ephemeral (not stored by the AI provider) and is not used to train third-party AI models.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Infrastructure Providers: Services that host our database and authentication (e.g., Supabase).
• Analytics Providers: Tools used solely for identifying app crashes and performance issues.
• Legal Compliance: If required by law.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

• Retention: We retain your data as long as your account is active.
• Deletion: You may request account deletion directly within the app settings. Upon deletion, your personal profile is removed. If you share a "Home" with others, list items created by you may remain visible to the household to prevent data loss for other members, but will be anonymized.

6. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for data in transit and Row-Level Security (RLS) to ensure only authorized household members can access your lists.
